Legs and shoulders that read wrong in the showcase: the female's idle, the sprint's shoulders #898
Seen watching the animation showcase, and measured with its AE3D_METRICS=1 mode (per figure, every 10 s: the legs' closest, a knee bent out off the way the hips face, the chest off the hips, a forearm's roll).
Fixed on the way (PR #891, dc3eb0a): knees swinging out up to 90 degrees and crossing the legs (a knee now keeps its clip's plane within 20 degrees of its hinge's), heads looking 30 degrees over every point (ikrig's forward was not level), the female drawn 50 m underground (a retarget carried points through the world), the rifleman's chest 55 degrees off its hips (he now turns to his target).
Still there:
The female's idle (UE5 female on the Rigify idle, retargeted): one foot turned in and its knee bent out, 57 degrees off the hips at its worst (11.75 s into the showcase). With the feet IK off it is 42 degrees, so the retarget's idle carries most of it.
The sprint's shoulders: the chest turns 40 degrees off the hips at a sprint in the clip itself (49 with the look at the camera on). A person's shoulders counter-rotate about 15 to 25 degrees running.
Arms in some poses: forearms roll up to 51 degrees off their upper arms (the figure on a stick); needs looking at with a still before calling it wrong.
Held to, per figure through the showcase: no knee more than 30 degrees out off the hips where it is bent 6 cm off its leg's line, the chest within 30 degrees of the hips at a run, and the legs never closer than 8 cm.
Progress on #891 (7f957cd): the figure on a stick's legs as it turns round on the spot.
Fixed, measured in test_anim_pipeline's turn on the spot (now checked: no foot past the hips' middle, no knee 30 degrees out, each step lifts its foot 3 cm, no ankle at 3 m/s):
A planted foot's heading was read in the figure's own frame, which the mover turns, so the lock held nothing and the foot swung round with the body on its toe, its heel 14 cm across the other leg. Read over the ground now: a foot past the hips' middle 16.7 cm before, never now (4.9 cm short of it).
A stepping foot was still pulled to its old toe lock (the heel peel and the toe's return over its lock): its ankle jumped 16 cm between frames. Fastest ankle now 0.89 m/s.
A stepping foot was held down on the floor (the stand has both feet down), so steps slid. Lifted 60 mm at their middle now.
In the showcase the turn at 21 s no longer crosses its feet (-0.8 cm, was +10.4).
Still there: the turn at 14 s, asked for while the stick is still playing its stop. The stop's clip has one foot in the air until about 14.6 s (its contacts alternate), and steps for a turn begin only with both feet down, so for 0.6 s the mover turns the body over a clip that is still stepping: a knee 47 degrees out at 14.52 s, then a foot 6.3 cm over the middle at 14.77 s. A turn asked for during a stop's last steps needs its own rule (the stop's steps turned toward the new heading, or the turn held until the stop's feet are down); not yet decided.
