Senior Full Stack Software Engineer · Founder–engineer | Irvine, California 🇺🇸 · Türkiye 🇹🇷
I've spent 10+ years shipping production systems—from internal ops platforms and large microservice fleets to creator-scale products used by millions. I gravitate toward backend-heavy full‑stack work: scalable APIs, data layers on AWS, and UIs that stay fast under real traffic. Lately I spend as much time designing architectures and orchestrating AI tools as writing code by hand—still with the same bar: reliable, observable, production‑ready software.
Today I'm focused on AI‑native experiences (real‑time coaching, analytics, and native clients) while keeping one foot deep in PostgreSQL, Typescript, Nest.js, Next.js, Ruby on Rails, and mobile—Swift, Kotlin/Android, and React Native—depending on what the product needs.
- PianoPal — Founding engineer & CTO at MU (Musicpal): AI‑powered piano learning with live conversational coaching, teacher dashboards, practice analytics, native piano apps, and a teacher-facing web experience.
- Swift · Kotlin (Android)
- Next.js
- Nest.js
- PostgreSQL
- AWS
Alongside PianoPal, I've founded and led several products end to end—architecture, delivery, and the path to production:
-
Movve — Health & wearable platform with the Movve Band: biometrics, AI health coaching, and cross-platform consumer apps.
- React Native + iOS + Android Native Modules
- Next.js
- Nest.js
- PostgreSQL
- AWS
-
DigitalWisers — Community platform for creators and organizations, with an integrated talent marketplace so hiring happens where professional relationships already live.
- Vite
- React.js
- Nest.js
- PostgreSQL
- DigitalOcean
-
SmartHROnline (Smarthronline) — Hiring & HR platform for logistics: referral-driven recruitment, messaging, and interview workflows.
- Next.js
- shadcn/ui
- Nest.js
- PostgreSQL
- AWS
Kajabi · Senior Full Stack Engineer
- PostgreSQL on Aurora — owned the data layer for the community product: maintenance, scaling, partitioning, and performance.
- Branded Mobile Apps — release automation end to end (GitHub Actions, Fastlane, Rails) so customers publish native iOS/Android apps through their own App Store / Play accounts.
- Native billing — Apple & Google in-app subscriptions and one-time purchases inside branded apps.
- App Builder Studio — customer-facing builder (React, TypeScript) to design and ship apps without writing code.
- Community product — major features shipping at scale on backends used by millions.
- Production — backend operations: scaling, monitoring, and reliability for high-traffic systems.
Earlier
- Superpeer — lead engineering, architecture, and product delivery.
- Epigra — portfolio modernization, flagship SaaS, technical leadership across engagements.
- My Next Match — microservices & Kafka at serious scale; backend, web, and mobile surfaces.

- akingundogdu.com — Portfolio, experience, and long‑form posts on backend, frontend, and distributed systems.
- Frontend state management compared (Redux Toolkit vs Zustand vs Jotai vs XState) — Same feature, four libraries, metrics that matter.
- Event-driven architecture: Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS — Tradeoffs from production experience.
When I'm not shipping code, I'm usually still making things—just with solder, wood, and speakers instead of SemVer.
- Electronics: I love tinkering with circuits in my free time—the kind of rabbit holes where "one more measurement" turns into a whole evening.
- Audio: I built my own sound system from the ground up and I'm always iterating on it (new drivers, new crossovers, new excuses to open the soldering iron).
- Toy cars: I collect model cars and spend a silly amount of time on mods, fixes, and restoration—tiny wrenches, tiny frustrations, tiny victories.
- Woodworking: I'm hooked on woodcraft. I've set up a small workshop in my garage where I build wooden toys for my daughter—sawdust everywhere, smiles worth it.
- Music: I'm deep into music production—mostly deep house—in Logic Pro, turning knobs until the neighbors question their life choices.
Bonus track: these days Suno exists too—so my official side gig is Deep House Prompt Engineer until the robots finish my drop for me. 🎛️
