In POM.xml, the word selection selects the entire element's name or value.

Yes, this feature is on a language by language basis, and not implemented for XML. It will use the default movement by word using whitespace. There's an HTML implementation that might form the basis for an XML one??

xmlIdentifierAcceptor now accepts only characters for which Character.isJavaIdentifierPart is true, which keeps letters, digits, and underscore in the word and excludes punctuation.
