Purpose

Temporarily cap Ray at <2.60 for pypaimon[ray] and test dependencies. Ray 2.60's default shuffle v2 causes schema/empty-block failures in repartition and row-ID updates, breaking Python and Native CI.

Restore support once the upstream fix is released and verified.

Tests

  • All 7 affected regressions passed with Ray 2.59.0 on Python 3.11.
  • Wheel build passed; pip accepts Ray 2.59.0 and rejects Ray 2.60.0 with the new constraint.
  • git diff --check passed.
