Package Update Change
vshn/kharon major v1.7.4 → v2.0.1

Release Notes

vshn/kharon (vshn/kharon)

v2.0.1

Compare Source

We're proud to announce the next major release of kharon.

Kharon now supports VSHN managed Talos clusters.
It also adds automated login to OpenShift clusters.

Both Talos and OpenShift can be selected using the existing shell and kubeconfig commands.
The new kharon switch command inserts the selected cluster into the current kubeconfig. It replaces and deprecates oc-web-login which, while backwards compatible, does not allow automated login.

All clusters use automated logins though kubectl. OpenShift clusters use a completely reworked token retrieval which no longer needs elevated permissions on the cluster. Talos clusters use an embedded version of int128/kubelogin.

kharon switch c-appuio-lab-cloudscale-rma-0
kubectl get nodes
kharon switch c-managed-talos-lab-rma-0
kubectl get nodes

# kharon shell does no longer need `kharon oc-web-login; ...`
kharon shell --each -- sh -c 'kubectl get nodes'
