rififi

Simple script to easily create rofi menus based on a configuration file.

Features:

• one action is associated to each menu entry

• confirmation can be asked before executing the action

• hot key can be registered with sxhkd to open the rofi menu by editing ~/.config/sxhkd/sxhkdrc like the power menu below:

  super + r
  rofi -show run -modi run,powermenu:"${HOME}/.config/rofi/rififi.sh -f ${HOME}/.config/rofi/rififi-power-menu.conf"
  

Usage

Usage: rififi.sh [-h] -f <CONFIGURATION_FILE> [-dn] [SELECTED_ROFI_MENU_ENTRY]

Where:
  -h      Help.
  -f      Path to CONFIGURATION_FILE.
  -d      Dry run.
  -n      Do not show symbols.

Example:
  rofi -show powermenu -modi powermenu:"${HOME}/.config/rofi/rififi.sh -f ${HOME}/.config/rofi/rififi-power-menu.conf"

Configuration file

All menu entries are declared and configured with the bash script CONFIGURATION_FILE.

Example below for a power menu:
