feat: redesign the desktop chrome and consolidate the stylesheet - #18

Conversation
Replace the three accreted stylesheets (styles, security, cockpit) with one cascade plus a generated themes.css and a self-contained splash.css. Introduce a real type scale, a single interactive highlight, consistent radii, and a restrained glow budget. Shell: remove the redundant workspace header row and move repository actions into the titlebar; make the rail a fixed-width strip with visible labels instead of expanding over content on hover; add failure toasts with a "View logs" shortcut; list repositories and repository actions in the command palette. Code view: lint opens from a header button instead of a permanent bar; the tree toggle moves from Tab to T so focus navigation works. Fixes: placeholder when the current branch is unknown; pin the root chain to the viewport so the UI scale transform fills the window and scrollIntoView cannot scroll the page; mock GitIdentity in the Selenium harness so the suite runs again; convert synchronous bridge failures into rejections.

Summary
A front-end design pass aimed at hierarchy, legibility, and UX friction. Rendered through the mock harness before and after; screenshots are in the review page linked from the conversation.
Changed
styles.css,security.css, andcockpit.csshad five overlapping "passes" redefining the same selectors (the shell grid alone was declared five times) with!importantoverrides and ~40% dead rules. They are nowstyles.css(tokens → base → chrome → views → overlays),themes.css(one block per theme, generated by merging the three per-theme fragments), andsplash.css(the brand animation, moved verbatim).TabtoT.Fixed
100vh / scale²), leaving a gap at 120%. The root chain is now pinned to the viewport and clipped, soscrollIntoViewin tree navigation cannot scroll the page.GitIdentity, so the titlebar threw on startup and the suite has been red since 0.1.16. The bridge cache now also converts synchronous failures into rejections.Verification
