Intent

CrocApp 1.0 needs its public face: privacy and support pages, updated README, docs and landing, GitHub hygiene, App Store screenshots, the 1.0.0 version and the listing and export-compliance research. This PR (P15+P16, steps 55-58) ships that, with copy worded to hold until the 1.0.0 tag exists because web/** deploys on merge.

Requirements

  • R30 README, docs install page: croc 11 or newer, notarization claims scoped to "from version 1.0.0".
  • R31 Landing: /support/, llms.txt, JSON-LD downloadUrl, sitemap, no new third-party request. Store badges stay unlinked until the listings exist (B27).
  • R32 Docs site audited, current labelled 1.0.
  • R33 capture-screenshots.sh gains the App Store sizes (32 files, 4 classes) and the 1.0 screens (25 pairs).
  • R34 Issues macOS Finder Share extension #22-Widgets for recent transfers and quick actions #25 filed as future; repo description and topics updated.
  • R35 CHANGELOG and SECURITY say 1.0.
  • R36 1.0.0 in Version.xcconfig, web/docs/package.json, docs label, CHANGELOG; build number 2.
  • R38 /privacy/ names every server and what it sees; linked from Settings and About on both platforms.
  • R40 docs/knowledge/app-store-listing.md: all listing fields, review notes with a no-second-device path, export-compliance outcome (keep ITSAppUsesNonExemptEncryption false, exclude France).

Plan deviations

  • B24-B26 ran in one session.
  • Store badges unlinked (listing URLs do not exist yet).
  • Menu-bar screenshot dropped (status item cannot be captured reliably).
  • CHANGELOG date 2026-10-15 is a planned date.

Review

Two reviews. Second at afb6eb9: Important 0, Nit 5 listed (16 unlisted), none fixed here. The first review's I1 (copy claimed 1.0 was out) and I2 (review-notes link step) are fixed in afb6eb9. Open nits: capture script writes into the real app container (N1), accessibility claim without a check (N2, needs owner audit O12), CHANGELOG date vs tag day (N3), privacy page relay wording (N4), maintainer-email date and copyright spelling (N5).

Verification (rerun at afb6eb9 in the ship session, by a fresh verifier)

  • Go (crocmobile/): build, vet, go test -race -count=1 ./... pass; golangci-lint run 0 issues.
  • scripts/format-swift.sh --lint: PASS.
  • xcodebuild build: CrocApp macOS, iOS Simulator, CrocApp Direct macOS: BUILD SUCCEEDED, no warning: from our sources.
  • xcodebuild test -scheme CrocApp -destination 'platform=macOS': TEST SUCCEEDED (267 cases). swift test --package-path CrocKit: 35 passed.
  • web/docs: pnpm run typecheck, pnpm run build rc 0. scripts/assemble-site.sh rc 0, privacy/, support/, r/, AASA present.
  • Greps: 1.0.0 at all version sites; no stale release status; no off-site loads on landing pages; 32 store PNGs exact size, no alpha; known-issues.md "Blocking release" is None.
  • Not verified: transfer harnesses (no engine, CrocKit or TransferController change), pages in a browser, About section on screen, Open in CrocApp on a device, live site (deploys on merge), O12 VoiceOver audit, CI on this PR.

…k step

Public pages said 1.0 was out and the Mac disk image notarized, but web/** deploys on merge, days before the v1.0.0 tag. The latest release is still 0.9.9. They now say the listings and the 1.0.0 disk image arrive at launch.

App Review cannot open the universal link by typing the URL in Safari, so the notes now say to tap it in Notes or Messages or press Open in CrocApp on the page.
