index.ts + types.ts + index.spec.ts + example.ts, tsconfig.build.json (rootDir/include root-relative for the flat plugin layout), dist packaging with prepack. Logic unchanged, types + syntax + .ts specifiers only. README stays JS-referencing for now (LASTMODIFIED output is non-idempotent; docs-gate carve-out already checks out this package's README in CI).

Wave-A TypeScript conversion (engines pilot pattern): typed execFileSync git calls, missing-history return-content guard preserved, self-contained untracked-fixture test kept (create/remove verified across two runs), dist packaging + prepack, changeset minor.
CI-parity detail: the committed README's static references point at example.ts (the stale example.js pointer would have crashed the docs step before the carve-out checkout), while the LASTMODIFIED date line stays frozen — reviewer verified the full docs → carve-out → diff-gate chain end-to-end.
Logic byte-for-byte vs main (review-verified). Validation: typecheck + lint + prettier clean · workspace tests green ×2 · tarball gate incl. consumer-typecheck · node example.ts exit 0 · code-reviewed (APPROVE, zero findings)
