Hi @tswhison !

Could you please add subtrees to the list of spell exceptions?
https://github.com/canonical/kernel-docs/blob/main/docs/.custom_wordlist.txt

That word is failing in the make spelling check:
https://github.com/canonical/kernel-docs/actions/runs/27450466409/job/81144464473?pr=106#step:4:333

Thanks.

This is excellent @tswhison ! and you adopted the structure of the existing page so well.
there are some minor changes i think should be done, especially the use of the long dash.

also the page title doesn't really reflect the existing content.
what about "How to obtain and manage Ubuntu kernel source using Git"?
because towards the end we're talking about "managing" the sources, and working with tags.

If we change the title, we'd need to add an entry for the page redirect in conf.py, and also make sure that the frontmatter (at the very top of the page) is updated so the meta description reflects the changes.

lemme know what you think!

@AnneCYH sure, we can change the title. Though, I'm afraid I don't know how to make all the changes you mentioned. Would you be able to assist?
