Senior Software Engineer at Wenia — the digital-asset company of Grupo Cibest, parent of Bancolombia, Nequi and Wompi. The ground here is the exchange, the COPW peso-backed stablecoin on Polygon, and the card that spends it: payment infrastructure carrying a bank's compliance obligations and settling on a public chain, distributed through Colombia's largest bank.
Before that I was Tech Leader of Payments and Finance at Yummy (YC S21), and Developer Leader at Cencosud. 10+ years shipping payment systems at scale across banking, retail, aviation and crypto in Colombia and Chile.
What I have actually shipped: Colombia's first Open Banking service at Wompi (13M payers, $50B COP/year), a billing cycle cut from 4 days to 15 minutes at Yummy with 12M invoices reconciled per quarter, CQRS architectures over +150M records with reports under 3s, and SAP-integrated reconciliation moving 2M transactions a week at Cencosud. My focus is distributed systems that move real money reliably, and autonomous AI agents applied to financial operations. I care about systems design, architecture decisions written down, code review that explains the why, and mentoring engineers who build for scale.
