Update uninstalls AngKorGit - download the 0.20.0 setup.exe not working - virus warning

What happened?

Tried to update to 0.20 - result was uninstalled app.
When I try to download the setup.exe - I get a virus warning.

Steps to reproduce

Try to update AngKorGit on windows 11 or download the setup.exe - the msi needs admin rights - I can download it but I limited on rights on this notebook

That's a real problem even if it isn't a bug in the app itself. The Windows build isn't code signed yet, so every new release is unknown to Windows and SmartScreen warns about it. What you hit is worse than that: Defender flagging the 0.20.0 setup.exe. The updater runs that same installer, and it removes the old version before installing the new one, so when Defender stops it halfway you're left with no app. Sorry about that.

Two things would help me pin it down: the exact detection name from Windows Security > Protection history, and whether the 0.19.0 setup.exe from the releases page passes on the same machine. I'll report the file to Microsoft as a false positive, that usually clears in a day or two.

To get going now: open Protection history, allow the setup.exe, download it again and run it. It installs per user, no admin needed. The .msi is the per-machine installer, which is why it asks for rights.

Signing the Windows build is the real fix. I'm looking at the free code signing SignPath offers open source projects.

The security in event viewer has an error and does not show anything for some reason.
But I can confirm the 0.19 setup works - i had 0.19 also before
