The reason for the original wording is that C++ is what most of the team focused on and do worked best. it's hard to know where to draw the line - to some extent, we support C++, C, ObjC, ObjC++, cuda, ... - while keeping the introduction clear.
But this is a real point of confusion, I'm happy with this change. We may revisit the wording/location at some point.
