Summary

  • add the July 17 weekly release series, led by "Own Your Pixels: Native Fidelity on Your Schedule"
  • cover theme fidelity, standalone Settings, external surfaces, accessibility, MCP, and the generated port-status matrix
  • add six 1024x512 headers, current native comparison images, before-and-after captures, and an animated tab-morph comparison
  • add six idea-led LinkedIn posts scheduled from July 17 through July 22, using the content PR merge as review
  • extend the prose gate to LinkedIn artifacts and reject self-certifying language in new copy

Why

This release contains several large changes that need more context than release notes can provide. The parent post explains the ownership tradeoff behind Codename One's statically linked lightweight UI, then shows how native reference applications, geometry checks, animation frames, and baseline gates let the themes move forward without an OS update redesigning a shipped application.

The follow-up posts document the other major changes and their current boundaries. The accessibility CI example now uses assertions that always execute, and the widgets example defines the state-map helper used by its placeholders.

Social distribution

LinkedIn starts with the release instead of waiting ten days. The queue contains one useful angle per article rather than mirrored company and personal summaries, and each artifact includes its final absolute blog URL. Merging this PR reviews the exact social copy.

The following-week rule remains unchanged for full article syndication to dev.to, Foojay, Hashnode, Medium, and DZone. It does not apply to short social posts that link back to the source.

Impact

The six articles are connected through the release-2026-07-17 series navigation and are dated July 17 through July 22. The LinkedIn artifacts use the same release window. The article slugs remain stable, including /blog/pixel-perfect-is-a-test/, while the visible lead title reflects the final positioning.

Validation

  • full blog_prose_gate.py pass, including LanguageTool, across the ten changed blog and social files
  • python3 scripts/website/test_blog_prose_gate.py
  • Hugo production build with future-dated content enabled
  • Mermaid validation for all 25 diagrams
  • social frontmatter, release dates, source dates, images, and explicit URLs validated
  • all affected Codex skill packages pass quick_validate.py
  • git diff --cached --check
