The Newt script is ready for testing: bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://github.com/community-scripts/ProxmoxVED/raw/main/ct/newt.sh)"
Requires a running Pangolin server to connect to.
Requires a Newt ID, Newt Secret and Pangolin endpoint, which can be obtained by creating a site/node in your Pangolin dashboard.
Note: This is not in the official repo yet—it's just a dev version! After merging into ProxmoxVE, it will need to be recreated.
I haven't checked or tried running the script directly inside an existing LXC yet, nor whether it might interfere with any update system that's already in place.
However, it seems to me that the logic restricting Newt to the specific service inside its container is handled directly from Pangolin.

only basic testing done, will require more testing from a user of the service.

@Arubinu may im wrong, but why is this an LXC and not an Addon? I thought newt is like a tailscale connector (like this tool: https://community-scripts.org/scripts/add-tailscale-lxc) Or does the tool actually serve as a single source of truth?

Been running this for weeks and it’s working great. I am not sure the criteria for moving it to stable but it has my vote.
