The Mumble script is ready for testing: bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://github.com/community-scripts/ProxmoxVED/raw/main/ct/mumble.sh)"
Default credentials:
Username: SuperUser
Password: Generated during installation
The generated SuperUser password is displayed once during installation. Reset it later with: mumble-server -ini /etc/mumble/mumble-server.ini -supw
Allow both TCP and UDP traffic on port 64738 through any firewall or router.
The Ice administration endpoint is restricted to localhost and protected with a generated secret.
Note: This is not in the official repo yet—it's just a dev version! After merging into ProxmoxVE, it will need to be recreated.
Hello, not sure how to report a bug, I'm quite new with Proxmox and LXC.
Proxmox version: 9.2.4
I tried to install Mumble with the Helper script, everything went smoothly but I couldn't connect afterwards.
I saw in the journal that the mumble-server executable could not be found:
Jul 23 20:59:38 mumble (e-server)[634]: mumble-server.service: Unable to locate executable '/usr/sbin/mumble-server': No such file or directory
Jul 23 20:59:38 mumble (e-server)[634]: mumble-server.service: Failed at step EXEC spawning /usr/sbin/mumble-server: No such file or directory
Jul 23 20:59:38 mumble systemd[1]: mumble-server.service: Main process exited, code=exited, status=203/EXEC
Jul 23 20:59:38 mumble systemd[1]: mumble-server.service: Failed with result 'exit-code'.
Jul 23 20:59:44 mumble systemd[1]: mumble-server.service: Scheduled restart job, restart counter is at 134.
I had to modify the service definition to point to /usr/bin instead of /usr/sbin and then it worked: ExecStart=/usr/bin/mumble-server -ini /etc/mumble/mumble-server.ini -fg
Normally there's nothing special with my Proxmox installation, so I don't really know if this is expected.
Don't hesitate if you need more information.
