Dark Seal no longer operates. Everything under this organization is a read-only archive — unmaintained, unsupported, and preserved for reference.
Dark Seal was a software engineering and research collective building high-quality, user-focused tools. We worked on accessibility in gaming and software management, with a particular focus on the League of Legends ecosystem.
We believed gaming culture should be inclusive rather than a privilege of those who could afford it. Everything we shipped came from that. We still believe it — that part was never up for negotiation.

Real-time asset synchronization, a WebSocket transport layer, a containerized service fleet, and a desktop shell — built by a handful of people, on nights and weekends, for nothing.
On 14 November 2025 we received formal legal notice from Tencent, acting as rights holder for League of Legends, through its counsel.
We complied. Development stopped, distribution stopped, the services came down, and the organization closed. There is no dispute here to relitigate — a rights holder enforced its rights, which it is entitled to do. We knew the risk when we started. We just thought we'd have longer.
That it was the correct outcome doesn't make it a painless one. This was work by people who cared about it far past what an unpaid project justifies, and it ended inside a single week. What we built and how we built it is still ours. That much no letter takes back.
Starting today, our work is public.
Not because it will be used. The services are gone, the endpoints are dead, and most of this will not build without infrastructure that no longer exists. It's here because the engineering was real, because the people who wrote it deserve to have it exist somewhere, and because something built this carefully shouldn't vanish just because it became inconvenient.
Maybe nobody reads it. That was never the point.
Caution
These repositories are historical snapshots. Credentials and internal references have been removed and previously exposed secrets rotated. Every endpoint, key, and hostname here is dead. Nothing published in this archive is intended to enable circumvention of any platform's terms of service.
To everyone who filed a bug, wrote a line of documentation, sat in the community, or just used the thing and said it helped — thank you. You made an unpaid side project feel like it mattered, and it did.
To the people who built it with us: it was a privilege. Every hour of it.
