Expanding a grouped unchanged stretch previously revealed another layer of collapsed context regions. Decide whether grouping is possible before collapsing its members, so expanding the group reveals code directly while preserving independently assigned fold visibility.
Validation: all 17 context-plugin tests pass, including expansion on both sides; release CLI builds successfully.
