Problem / Motivation
The dashboard opened Trends after sign-in even though Sources is the primary starting point. The sidebar listed Trend Lab first, while Agent needs to sit second for people with access. Creating a project also felt uncertain: the dialog used vague wording and offered no feedback while the request was running. Project shortcuts did not reveal saved sources. The notification menu could appear translucent over the Sources form.
What changed
Sources is now the default dashboard destination and the first sidebar item. Agent appears second only for accounts with access, followed by the renamed Trends item. Explicit destinations still work after sign-in.
The project dialog now says “New project,” explains its purpose, and uses a “Create” button. During submission it shows a spinner and “Creating…,” prevents duplicate submissions, and displays request errors inside the dialog. A successful response adds the project to the shared list immediately, without waiting for another list request.
Project shortcuts use closed and open folder icons. Opening one reveals its saved sources, with loading, empty, and retry states. The notification menu has a solid background and a quieter icon ring.
Tests
The web production build, platform type check, 82 web unit tests, and 49 dashboard browser tests passed. Two focused browser tests passed again after the final edits.
