Issue #307 requests support for MAP and UNION (which were noted as not implemented in #110) but I haven't seen any mention of LIST. This issue is to request first-class support for LIST in the Appender, which currently errors with `Error: unsupported C API type: 24` on construction.

+1. I've used the fixed size array , it would be useful if it could be dynamic.
