Ruby 4 support #1645

Hello,

With #1596 merged and 4.9.0 released we can no longer upgrade when on Ruby 4. It's a bit of a strange situation where in order to support a newer Ruby version we have to keep the old version of the gem, but I imagine even with this things may not work well? Most importantly we were curious if there are any plans for Ruby 4 support?
