Void Linux user and bug reporter — x86_64-glibc, runit, Cinnamon, daily-driven.
I don't contribute code to upstream projects. I find real bugs on my own running system, dig out the root cause, and report them. When a fix I need doesn't exist or isn't accepted, I build the fixed package myself, for my own machines.
- AI-assisted research, human-verified — AI helps me study and understand; every diagnosis is reproduced by me, every build is tested by me on real hardware.
- Dogfooding only — if it doesn't run on my daily driver, it doesn't exist.
- Root cause first — a bug report without a root cause is just noise.
- Bug reports with logs, reproduction steps and root-cause analysis — on any project whose software I actually use.
- Personal rebuilds of packages I need fixed or updated, documented and built in clean chroot, for my own use.
Track record so far: first to diagnose and report a LightDM PAM duplication bug that had been shipping for 16 months (fixed upstream the same day), and the only documented elogind 255.27 build running on Void Linux.
