Start the local listener and browser before checkout discovery and collection.
Share startup results with the first page load; keep explicit Sync fresh and queries scoped.
Show loading, partial failures, and Retry; cancel and join collection during shutdown.
Validation: mise run check:push (87 Chromium tests and full Go race suite), and rendered desktop/mobile checks in both themes.
Architecture change: local startup collection becomes a foreground-owned background task.
