Description
It seems that the case discussed in the ticket does not happen anymore; a user cannot bypass the register/login page while the backend is down. However, I did notice some console errors and decided to fix those. These are edge cases that will only occur when the backend does not respond, making the payload undefined.
Added type checking with payload being nullable.
