Before: a video was sent whole (with its sound) to Gemini only; statuses and a video opened in the separate media viewer had no Describe option.
After: a video is reduced locally to one still frame (only the video stream is decoded, the sound is never read or sent) and described like a photo by any provider that takes pictures. The Describe button and Ctrl+Shift+I now also exist in the media viewer dialog (right after Save as), and photo and video statuses (Alt+5) can be described from the inline player and from the separate viewer.
What it does:
