Diagnostic escaping must not obscure an original failure when Unicode-aware replacement cannot run. This records the narrow deterministic bytewise-fallback exception beside the general PCRE failure rule. Test Server source remains unchanged because its generated diagnostics contain only fixed names and safe type descriptions.
