I'm a backend and infrastructure engineer with more than 20 years of experience building systems that need to stay up and stay fast.
Right now I'm building Otterwatch, a calm SSL certificate monitor that emails you before your certificates expire, and quietly keeps an eye on whether your sites are responding while it's at it.
Go, Postgres, and the unglamorous infrastructure that keeps products running: queues, schedulers, data integrity, and reliability. I like simple architectures that are easy to reason about and hard to break.
Over the years I've worked on backend and infrastructure systems at Dapper Labs, Chick-fil-A, VividCortex, and JupiterOne, and I founded Hyprcubd. I tend to gravitate toward the parts of a system most people would rather not think about.
