Independent researcher and software engineer. I work at the boundary between formal methods and things that actually matter — building tools and writing papers that apply rigorous mathematics to questions about governance, cooperation, knowledge, and safety.
Most of my work is in one of three clusters:
Research — formal models of political freedom and governance across 2,600 years (isonomia); tensor game theory and reinforcement learning applied to climate coalition discovery (tipping the climate equilibrium); constrained spacetime geometry and chronology protection (fixed_points_in_time_tensors).
AI safety and knowledge systems — layered ethical moderation with symbolic and semantic reasoning (asimov); ontology-grounded transformer architecture for interpretable reasoning (koios); specialist embedding routing and reproducible retrieval evaluation (kalmanorix); knowledge graph growth control via clade-based hierarchy (veloclade).
World-building and narrative — Ananke is a deterministic simulation engine for imagined worlds, with bridges to Unity, Godot, Three.js, and an LLM-assisted narrative layer. The Unfinished World is built on top of it: an existentialist narrative game where every choice writes your philosophy.
There are also tools in progress for vinyl restoration, enterprise policy decisioning, LLM pruning ROI, micronutrient analysis, and energy-aware code auditing, because breadth is a feature, not a bug.
