iPadOS 27 menu bar visibility in full screen mode #453

Description

@gcv

iPadOS 27 changed menu bar visibility behavior: you can’t now swipe from the top to show the bar and window controls. You have to tap the app name next to the time+date view in the upper right (or keep the menu bar always visible with a settings change). For rootshell running in a window that covers that area (either a full screen window or just one that stretches to the top of the display) with Appearance > Window > Full Screen turned on, this means there’s now no way to access the OS menu or windowing controls.

One workaround I found is Cmd-? on an external keyboard — that seems to always bring up the help search, and it’s possible to go to other menu items from there. Otherwise, it’s now necessary to drag the rootshell window away from the top of the screen so the clock plus app name renders and makes it possible to show the menu bar.

I’m not sure what a good fix would be. Dragging from the top of the window is likely now taken over by the OS.
