Task

Storage phase 4, item 5 (plan): prove that batches, answers and a build reproduce known conversations exactly.

What

  • src/conversations/agent-loop.test.ts builds an invented chat of 400 messages with known parents: each message answers one of the 40 before it, or starts a conversation, and a tenth of the answers are the messenger's own replies.
  • A scripted agent answers every batch from the known parents, through the service: build, batches next, links add, then build again.
  • The stored conversations must equal the known grouping exactly.
  • I used an invented chat instead of the plan's IRC gold links: the proof is the same, it needs no download, and it runs in CI. The plan's item 5 says so.
  • The IRC dev-split run with a real agent stays by hand.

Testing

The test passes in about a second; lint and typecheck pass.

… end to end (phase 4 item 5)

A scripted agent answers every batch of an invented 400-message chat from its known parents, through
the service: build, batches next, links add, build. The stored conversations equal the true grouping
exactly, a tenth of the answers given by the messenger's own replies. The IRC corpus run with a real
agent stays by hand.
