Welcome to the deltaic-system-models wiki! Deltaic System: Regional Connectivity and Economic Forecasting Overview This repository, deltaic-system-models, serves as a centralized digital hub for empirical data, analytical frameworks, and structural modeling regarding the Bengal Deltaic System. As an independent research initiative, this project explores the intersection of river-based trade connectivity, institutional incentive structures, and long-term economic forecasting within the Indo-Pacific geopolitical context. Research Vision The core objective of this project is to analyze the shift in economic gravity toward deltaic trade nodes. We project that integrated river-based connectivity—linking the Bengal Delta with Nepal and China—will become a critical driver, potentially accounting for up to 90% of regional GDP growth by 2050. Core Research Pillars Infrastructure Connectivity: Mapping historical trade corridors and identifying modern bottlenecks in the deltaic logistics network. Economic Forecasting: Developing quantitative models to predict growth trajectories based on infrastructure integration and port efficiency. Institutional Framework: Analyzing how regional authority, cross-border policy structures, and Mughal-era administrative legacies influence current economic integration efforts. Methodological Discipline Our research adheres to a strict Systems Thinking framework: Data Integrity: We differentiate between verified empirical facts, high-confidence inferences, and speculative narrative framing. OSINT Integration: Cross-referencing maritime traffic data, industrial supply chain footprints, and geopolitical dynamics to ensure real-world applicability. Second-Order Consequences: Every model is stress-tested against potential institutional shifts and economic leverage vulnerabilities. How to Utilize This Repository This repository is structured for researchers and policy analysts: /data: Raw datasets and statistical models. /docs: Research manuscripts, academic drafts, and white papers. /models: Quantitative economic projections and connectivity matrices. [Include] Institutional Integrity This project is an independent analytical initiative, unaffiliated with any government entity, ensuring unbiased research and epistemic discipline. Status Development Stage: Active Data Integration & Empirical Modeling. Current Focus: Analyzing the Naldanga-region historical connectivity vis-à-vis contemporary regional trade nodes.
