modcore develops two different versions of the modcore Extension Manager:

• Open-Source Version – available on GitHub
• Store Version – available in the Microsoft Edge Add-ons Store

Development & Release Process

In some cases, both versions share the same codebase. However, modcore may also develop different code for each version depending on stability and release readiness.

• The Store Version only includes the "most" stable releases.
• The Open-Source Version follows a slightly different process:
  1. Beta versions are first released on Patreon.
  2. After the beta phase, the code is published on GitHub.

Feature & Version Differences

modcore may implement different features across the two versions. We aim to remain as transparent as possible about these differences.

This means:

• Feature availability may vary between versions
• Version numbers and release timing may differ

Store Review Delays

Note: Each release submitted to an add-on store undergoes a review process. As a result, updates for the Store Version may be delayed compared to the Open-Source Version.

Privacy & Data Collection

modcore does not collect any user data in either version of the modcore Extension Manager.

However, please note:

• If you download the extension from an add-on store, the store itself may collect certain data and provide analytics to developers.
• modcore does not collect, store, or process any personal data.
