Add persistent compact and detailed transcript preferences with independent reasoning visibility and a versioned database migration. Group consecutive tool-only messages across assistant boundaries while preserving visible failures and replies. Use neutral dark chat surfaces and replace Latest with a floating scroll-to-bottom arrow. Include regression coverage for grouping, preference persistence, and migration rollback.
