Add a type field to macos_prefs #8

Closed

Description

@UnderpantsGnome
macOS: 26.3.1
openboot: v0.37.0

Allow specifying the type for the macos_prefs, the way it is currently, if you try to set anything other than a string it fails.

{
  "domain": "",
  "key": "",
  "type": "[string|int|bool]", <-- new key
  "value": "",
  "desc": ""
}

    Done in v0.38.0. You can now set "type" on any pref:

    { "domain": "com.apple.dock", "key": "tilesize", "type": "int", "value": "48", "desc": "Dock icon size" }

    Accepts string, int, bool, float. If you leave it out it still infers from the value like before, so nothing breaks for existing configs.

    Looks good 👍

    If you add docs for this, make sure to specify that bool values have to be true or false, 1 and 0 throw errors.

    Also in v0.38.1 — 1/0/yes/no are now auto-normalized to true/false for bool prefs, so you don't need to worry about the defaults write quirk.
