- SCP-6908 was the grave of Johnny Nilsson, the deceased leader of a cult called "The Crooked Smilers," and was located in a cemetery purchased by the Foundation. Within about six feet of the grave, animals would become distressed, plants wouldn't grow, and people would feel a mild unease and an urge to do something they had been avoiding. Letters, seemingly from a follower named "Grace," would mysteriously appear above the grave at random times. The cult was non-anomalous, and Nilsson was a con artist. The grave's unusual effects stopped after the final letter from Grace, which expressed disillusionment, and it was then reclassified as neutralized.

- The Philadelphia Experiment is an urban legend alleging that the U.S. Navy attempted to make the destroyer escort USS Eldridge invisible in October 1943 at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard, with bizarre and catastrophic results for the crew, including teleportation and physical fusion with the ship's structure. The story originated in 1955 from a series of letters and annotated books sent by a merchant mariner named Carl M. Allen (also known as Carlos Miguel Allende) to a UFO author, Morris K. Jessup. Allen's account is widely considered a hoax, and the U.S. Navy maintains that no such experiment ever occurred, citing timeline inconsistencies with the USS Eldridge's movements and the non-existence of the claimed physics. Alternative explanations suggest the legend might stem from misunderstandings of actual World War II naval experiments, such as degaussing (making ships undetectable to magnetic mines) or high-frequency generator tests.
