Existing Playwright suites should keep their server setup when adopting these rules. Accept compiled configs with use.baseURL and native webServer, and add visual_test for screenshot specs that click and navigate.

Keep built shells and server adapters compatible. Preserve custom reporters and setup paths, support declared-file CI sharding, and keep pinned Testcontainers browsers, exact-origin networking, and full-suite baseline updates.

Validated with the OSS browser fixtures and FormatJS editor VRT, E2E, component tests, and typechecking.
