Hey, download the Windows release and copy the file "condemned2recomp_config.toml" to the same directory as the EXE.

Hello there. I learned of this release and decided to give it a shot on Fedora KDE 44. I compiled condemned2recomp with clang v22 and rexglue v0.9.0. As Darmemos pointed out, the game loads and renders the menu fine and seems to render fine in-game but the screen eventually turns black (in my case, it's a few seconds after starting a new game). As suggested, I placed condemnded2recomp_config.toml next to the executable but it hasn't made a difference. Testing was done with an AMD RX 9070 XT running Mesa 26.3.0-devel.

I know that Linux support is untested but I thought to ask a few questions open for others that may know and could contribute to answering:

    1. For the Linux build, is placing the .toml file next to the executable correct (like the Windows version)?
    2. The windows build uses DX12 by default. On Linux, it's solely Vulkan. Are there any settings in the .toml to adjust/optimize for Vulkan?

For further experimenting, I tested the windows build via Wine/Proton with the latest build of vkd3d-proton (the DX12->Vulkan translation layer). The game loads and renders but it's much darker, despite increasing the brightness, and it emphasizes the washed out colors that made visibility very difficult.

adding execute_unclipped_draw_vs_on_cpu = true to condemned2recomp.toml fixes the black screen issues for me with a rx580 gpu on archlinux

That seems to have fixed it. Cheers for the tip!
