  • For performance and accuracy reasons, improved incremental analysis will now only be enabled on a pull request when diff-informed analysis is also enabled for that run. If diff-informed analysis is unavailable (for example, because the PR diff ranges could not be computed), the action will fall back to a full analysis. #3791
  • If multiple inputs are provided for the GitHub-internal analysis-kinds input, only code-scanning will be enabled. The analysis-kinds input is experimental, for GitHub-internal use only, and may change without notice at any time. #3892
  • Added an experimental change which, when running a Code Scanning analysis for a PR with improved incremental analysis enabled, prefers CodeQL CLI versions that have a cached overlay-base database for the configured languages. This speeds up analysis for a repository when there is not yet a cached overlay-base database for the latest CLI version. We expect to roll this change out to everyone in May. #3880

detectors: add Azure Bicep, Swift/CryptoKit, and Pulumi coverage

Three new detector surfaces (#5), each registered, unit-tested, and pinned by the
benchmark corpus:

- bicep: Azure-native IaC (.bicep) — Microsoft.KeyVault `kty: 'RSA'/'EC'` keys
  (gated to the Key Vault marker) and legacy `minimumTlsVersion: 'TLS1_0'/'TLS1_1'`.
  Complements the existing ARM/CloudFormation-JSON detector (Bicep is the source,
  ARM JSON its compiled output).
- swift: Apple CryptoKit + Security framework — P256/384/521 Signing vs
  KeyAgreement (ECDSA/ECDH), Curve25519 Signing/KeyAgreement (Ed25519/X25519), and
  SecKeyCreateRandomKey RSA/EC key types. `.swift` added to the C-style comment
  table and to DetectorLanguage.
- pulumi: the pulumi-tls provider's `tls.PrivateKey` across TS/JS/Python/Go, gated
  to a pulumi-tls marker, classifying the `algorithm` value (RSA/ECDSA/ED25519).

Validated against real OSS repos (gin, mux, flask, terraform-aws-eks, express,
helm/charts): zero false positives from the new detectors. Suite: 916 passing.
