The RailToolKit is an open research infrastructure for the data-based analysis and planning of rail-based transport. It enables the systematic development and application of scientifically sound, reproducible tools for rail, tram and urban rail. Through the use of literate programming, the RailToolKit guarantees a high level of traceability of all analysis and modelling steps and thus promotes the open transfer of knowledge and methods in research, teaching and practice.
