Using standalone here allows for more options at runtime, but requires a wrapper around the ppx that passes --as-ppx argument before the arguments that the compiler used.

Here are some changes I did to have it compiling on Mac M1 and working on my code base. Not all of them are mandatory. For example, the usage of
Ast_builderinstead ofAst_helperis not necessary to have it working, and similarly for the usage ofLongident.last_exn.
