Import and revise the Rust support roadmap against the current main baseline. Recognize Rust tool configuration as policy-sensitive and WGSL as governed source, preserving missing-analysis failures and module impact. Cargo workspace facts, sealed Rust tooling, semantic checks, dependency governance, structured test evidence, and installed-release parity remain open. Validation: formatting, design context, policy-unit, repository-unit, and development CLI documentation lookup pass. Quality-unit is running after restoring the pinned development tools; branch checkpoint verification remains pending.
Verified with governed formatting and documentation-unit. The beta checkpoint will be rerun for this corrected candidate.
Add bounded Cargo manifest and metadata validation, governed discovery commands, and authenticated Rust 1.97.1 component installation. Verification: dependency review and offline supply-chain passed; focused source policy checks, repository-unit, rustfacts-unit, installer recovery contract, Cargo quality tests, and valid/invalid public CLI discovery passed. One existing quality.go file-length review warning remains. Progress milestone: compiler/formatter/source semantics, dependency policy, Rust test evidence, and installed-release packaging remain open. Full Rust coverage is not claimed.
Use pinned rustfmt with Cargo editions, contained project configuration and selected-file writes. Preserve child modules, generated inputs and concurrent edits. Align mixed Go/Rust command planning with execution. Verified: rustfacts-unit, focused Cargo/Rust quality tests, scoped policy checks and public CLI formatting. Compiler, source semantics, supply chain, test evidence and release integration remain in progress; no final checkpoint or supplemental suites run for this progress commit.
Run matching pinned Cargo and Clippy through the common command plan with frozen native-host compilation. Require reviewed lockfiles, retain original diagnostic locations and compiler target context, validate nonempty structured outcomes, and inventory build-script facts. Keep unsupported Clippy configuration and non-native targets explicit. Verified: rustfacts-unit, repository-unit, focused Cargo/Rust quality tests, scoped policy checks, and public CLI valid/seeded-type-error crates. Real fixtures also cover default features, lint suppression, lock drift, missing linkers and cancellation. Source semantics, dependency governance, Rust test evidence, WGSL and release integration remain unfinished; no final checkpoint or supplemental suites run for this progress commit.
Parse Cargo dependency declarations across workspace and target-specific tables, enforce exact registry and Git pins, and contain local dependency paths. Validate versioned lock package identities and registry checksums without running target code. Preserve Git/registry source distinctions and the shared optional signed-assessment policy. Verified: repository-unit, supplychain-unit, rustfacts-unit, focused quality/workflow tests and scoped policy checks. Public CLI offline supply-chain rejects an unpinned Cargo dependency without running child commands. Resolved lock agreement, dependency-review comparison, age, security, licenses and remaining Rust language/release capabilities are unfinished. No final checkpoint or supplemental suites run for this progress commit.
Use sealed structured Cargo metadata in online and offline supply-chain plans. Preserve workspace, renamed dependency, target, feature and full lock identities without compiling project code or repairing locks. Verification: rustfacts-unit, supplychain-unit and engine-unit passed; scoped policy checks passed with the existing engine file-length warning. Public CLI fixtures exercised valid and stale locks. Rust support remains in progress; registry policy, review diffs, source semantics, tests and distribution remain outstanding.
Inspect the complete Cargo lock inventory, reuse authoritative workspace locks, and batch exact version metadata through a cancellation-aware one-request-per-second client. Preserve optional Git warnings, fail required unsupported Cargo attestations explicitly, and never query private sources at crates.io. Verification: policy-unit and supplychain-unit passed; focused Cargo engine tests and scoped policy checks passed. Public offline CLI fixture retains its remaining security-coverage finding. Dependency-review diffs, preferred-age advisories, signed Cargo Git inventory, advisory/license policy, source semantics, structured Rust tests and distribution remain in progress.
Add authenticated frozen Tree-sitter wheels, bounded source facts, comment and attribute policy, and independent Rust complexity limits. Preserve production limits beside inline tests. Exact Rust source/quality and coverage regressions pass; scoped policy checks pass. Full quality rerun remains after replacing obsolete unsupported-Rust fixtures. Architecture, structured test evidence and installed-release parity remain incomplete.
Resolve written module/use/alias/re-export edges through Cargo targets and feed existing ownership, dependency and cycle policy. Bind Rust evidence to native graph reports; expose compiler unused-code coverage. Full rustfacts and architecture suites plus exact quality/schema regressions pass. Plain-crate public CLI check passes. Broader quality/documentation suites are running. Macro expansion, structured tests and installed-release integration remain incomplete; WGSL is a separate follow-on capability.
Preserve written macro argument edges and original locations; honor lexical imports, generics, standard/core preludes and shadowing. Custom expansions remain explicit coverage limits. Verified scoped policy check plus full rustfacts-unit and architecture-unit suites. Rust test evidence and release integration remain unfinished. The documentation catalog suite remains affected by caller-owned untracked docs/issues files.
Install authenticated cargo-nextest binaries through the governed Python runtime on the five supported hosts. Preserve working tools through archive, probe and replacement failures; register the runner in governed command environments. Dependency review and offline supply-chain passed. Scoped policy checks, installer regressions, repository-unit and rustfacts-unit passed. Real Linux Nextest probes distinguish passed, failed and all-ignored runs. Native suite, doctest and release integration remain unfinished.
Add Cargo-native suite selectors and pinned Nextest execution through direct tests, gate plans, regression proofs and reusable receipts. Validate nonempty JUnit outcomes and keep compiler, empty-run and artifact failures operational. Preserve real exit status through execution telemetry and keep Nextest state outside read-only source views. Verification: policy, testartifact, testing, engine, behaviorreview, gaterun and rustfacts ordinary suites pass. Focused policy checks pass. Public CLI proves passing, empty and assertion-failed Rust suites plus a complete simple-crate check. Doctests, broader macro coverage and verified release packaging remain open; no publication or lock upgrade.
Installer contract and scoped policy checks pass. The native installed Rust fixture still awaits execution against this committed build.
Add frozen Cargo doctest suites with a Rust 1.97.1 output adapter, complete case/count validation, distinct example semantics, and fresh structured artifacts. Reuse direct/gate execution, regression proofs and receipts. Keep output overflow operational even after a normal test-failure exit. Verified five boundary suites, targeted engine and regression-proof tests, source policy checks and a real public CLI run. The installed fixture now covers doctests; its updated native execution is next. General macro architecture, complete native release inventories and remaining native host evidence are still unfinished.
Share the output-capture failure classifier between direct and gate runners. An overflow remains operational for a normal test exit without erasing timeout or cancellation; regression tests reproduce and verify both interrupted cases. Record the passing installed Linux Rust and doctest fixture at source 3fafe17 and its verified private release digest. Targeted engine/runner tests and scoped policy checks pass. Macro coverage and the remaining native host and inventory requirements are still open.
Retain absent remote test, bench, example and binary metadata without requiring files Cargo does not compile as dependency targets. Continue requiring local and dependency build sources, and reject symlinks, non-regular paths and escapes. Verification: observed the missing-target regression fail before the fix; all Rust-facts boundary tests pass. Go vet and staticcheck pass. The scoped policy report remains failed only on the separate unadmitted Rust semantic helper's unsupported coverage.
Add an inactive Rust Analyzer HIR helper and real-workspace fixtures for generated macro references, dollar-crate hygiene, nesting and call-site mapping. Preserve the current architecture failure boundary; no Go consumer or shipped executable activates these facts. Candidate pins Rust Analyzer 0.0.346 with the Salsa 0.28.5 security fix. Cargo generated the lock without scripts. The rejected 0.27.2 Salsa candidate was not compiled. Locked 0.27.11 cannot represent crates.io security-fix age assessments or govern the new Rust source. A separately authorized local beta policy-lock upgrade is required before admission and compilation. Verification: Rust source parses through pinned rustfmt; Markdown format passes. Helper compilation and its fixtures are NOT RUN. Locked dependency-review fails the three unsupported Cargo provider requirements; scoped check fails only unsupported Rust coverage. Standard library, attribute/derive expansion, complete source/configuration ownership, runner integration and packaging remain unfinished. No lock upgrade, push or publication.
Partition source requests by encoded bytes and file count, retain exact per-batch inventory validation, preserve unaffected facts, and stop starting batches after cancellation. Use tuple coordinates to avoid the pinned Tree-sitter binding's borrowed-reference point getters. Verified rustfacts-unit, affected Rust/Cargo quality and architecture tests, formatting, and whitespace checks. Scoped policy check retains 55 existing semantic-helper coverage failures; the helper remains unbuilt pending authorized beta policy admission. No lock upgrade or publication.
Separate production/test context from built-in test entry classification and reject empty test bodies through native lint. Conditional test attributes do not relax production complexity. Move syntax, graph evidence, and report schema together to rust-source/v2 without a legacy acceptance path. Verified rustfacts-unit, affected Rust/Cargo quality and architecture tests, ordinary compiled-test rejection and repair, report-schema validation, malformed-evidence regression, formatting, and whitespace checks. Scoped policy check still reports 55 existing semantic-helper coverage failures. The helper remains unbuilt pending authorization for a local Rust-aware policy lock; no push, publication, or dependency admission.
Preserve current dependency-scan completeness checks while adding Cargo projections, and cover mixed Cargo roots with unaccounted dependency inputs. Retain the 0.28.3 policy lock and current dependency-assessment policy. Verification: focused Cargo and empty-scan regression tests pass under pinned Go 1.26.9. The broader supplychain suite encountered exhausted temporary storage. Locked dependency review remains blocked by expired existing JavaScript assessments and unsupported semantic-helper Cargo coverage. Optional Rust installation and semantic completion remain unfinished.
Keep required Rust policy native while separating SDK and Nextest payloads from portable core archives. Validate explicit installation against the selected core inventory and block Rust execution with absent or altered tools. Preserve notices in the core and exercise recovery and rollback. Checkpoint verification: focused release, CLI, native Rust tests and installer contract pass. New-source quality findings are resolved. Locked verification remains blocked by unsupported semantic-helper coverage and expired existing dependency assessments; changed-scope suites are running. Semantic-helper admission/integration, workspace-test lock containment, complete native notices and all-host release evidence remain open.
Derive installed executable and shared-read permissions from authenticated tool paths instead of accepting archive permission metadata. Exercise modified archive modes alongside installation, integrity, cancellation, rollback and repair. Focused bundle tests pass and new-source quality findings are clear. Linux installed Rust lifecycle passed at a3b6f82. Changed-scope verification remains blocked by existing dependency assessments, JavaScript bundle-lock verification and checkout prerequisites; locked 0.28.3 still cannot govern the unfinished semantic helper. No release or lock cutover is claimed.
Require a contained workspace lock before compilation, retries and receipt reuse. Validate source and sealed-view Cargo facts without dropping discovered targets. Record prerequisite commands in direct and gate plans and regression-proof preparation. Exercise optional Rust installation and recovery in the ordinary installed contract and select native Rust coverage on Windows. Focused native execution, gate retry, reuse, regression-proof and bundle tests pass. Locked source checks retain 67 existing semantic-helper coverage and expired-assessment errors. Changed-scope and clean installed-contract verification remain to be completed; no release or policy-lock cutover is included.
Update only brace-expansion to 1.1.21 and 5.0.12 in both frozen JavaScript graphs. Remove the 12 obsolete assessments and regenerate the installed inventory. Frozen script-disabled bundle installation and the bundle contract pass; offline supply-chain verification retains three existing Cargo coverage failures. Full changed-scope verification remains pending. Record data-only inspection of all 188 semantic-helper registry packages and the publication-backed self-hosting upgrade requirement. No Rust helper compilation, policy-lock change or publication is performed.
Resolve fast-uri 3.1.8 in the provider lock and remove the 3.1.7 host-case assessment. Registry and integrity-verified source review confirm ordinary age eligibility, no new dependencies and no install lifecycle scripts. Frozen installation passes; online and offline reviews retain only the existing three Rust-helper coverage errors. Focused provider verification is running.
Use native environment-name lookup and retain Visual Studio installation roots. Focused runner, rustfacts, and testing suites and source checks pass; Windows runner tests cross-compile. Native Windows CI remains required before release readiness.
Enter Microsoft's x64 developer shell and verify the selected linker before native contracts and release smoke tests. Document the Windows developer-shell prerequisite. Formatting, source checks, and workflow-unit pass; native Windows execution remains pending.
Associate Nextest with the installed Rust SDK inventory and retain rejection of incomplete companions. Remove superseded ProgramFiles discovery inputs that violate gate environment validation. Engine, repository, and rustfacts suites pass; source checks and formatting pass. Native CI and the final candidate gate remain pending.

Adds a bounded native Rust beta with the Rust SDK and Nextest delivered as an explicitly installed, authenticated official companion. Core-only installations can start task sessions without Rust; missing or altered Rust tools block operations that require them.
Contained Cargo projects receive discovery, formatting, compiler/Clippy diagnostics, written-source quality and architecture checks, dependency policy, native tests, and doctests. Workspace and lock containment are checked before compilation and receipt reuse. Unsupported semantics produce blocking coverage findings. Current main through
6d92df8is incorporated. The companion carries pinned upstream binaries and reviewed source license evidence. Native transitive SBOM composition remains explicitly incomplete; target-project dependency checks remain mandatory. General Rust semantic parity is outside this beta's scope.
