…e in CI Windows reports no execute permission bits, so the OSV-Scanner, ty and Python tool checks rejected installed tools and the 0.29.0-beta.1 Windows release build failed. Run the installed Rust fixture in ordinary Windows CI so release tags no longer carry its first execution. Prepare 0.29.0-beta.2. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Git for Windows' bin\bash.exe launcher prepends its usr\bin directory, so the installed Rust fixture linked with coreutils link.exe instead of the linker the developer shell selected. Launch the fixture with usr\bin\bash.exe, which inherits PATH unchanged, and verify only the first link.exe on PATH. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

The
v0.29.0-beta.1release failed onwindows-x64: the installed Rust fixture reported the pinned OSV-Scanner as missing. Go reports no execute permission bits for Windows files, so the OSV-Scanner, ty and Python tool checks inpolicymoduleand the shared supply-chain tool check rejected installed tools. Every other host passed and the publish job was skipped, so nothing was released.0.29.0-beta.2; the unpublishedv0.29.0-beta.1tag stays immutable.Verification:
policymoduleandsupplychainunit tests pass on Linux, and both packages vet cleanly forGOOS=windows. The new Windows CI step is the end-to-end check for this fix.🤖 Generated with Claude Code
