Delivery: how a key press reaches the integration command #11

Description

Part of the map Map: integration key contract.

Question

How does a key press reach the command: run it again with the key (environment variable such as DEVDASH_KEY=j, or an argument), or keep one long-running process and write keys to its stdin? Weigh against the current one-shot contract, timeouts, and process-group cleanup.

    Resolution

Run the command again per key press, with DEVDASH_ACTION=<action>; other runs have no DEVDASH_ACTION. The one-shot contract is unchanged: no stdin, no long-running process.

Decided by the agent at Shayan's request (no grilling round, 2026-10-09). Full detail in the spec: Wiki/02-Projects/Devdash/2026-10-09 1112 Integration key contract.md (private vault).
