Need "arm" supported code for all workloads

HI Team,

Can you please provide code for all work loads which supports "arm64" architecture. It will be helpful for those who join the session using Macbook with Apple silicon chip.

We are providing a Dockerfile that installs Nginx for both amd64 and arm64 platforms.

Please try to build the Nginx Docker image using these commands with the below provided Dockerfile, and confirm whether you are able to successfully create the image that supports arm64 architecture.

Please pull the latest changes from the master branch of SloopStash Docker starter-kit, then follow below commands to re build base image that supports arm64 architecture.

After that, try again to build Nginx image with the latest base image.

Commands to build base OS images using SloopStash Docker starter-kit

$ sudo docker image build -t sloopstash/alma-linux-8:v1.1.1 -f image/base/1.1.1/alma-linux-8.dockerfile image/base/1.1.1/context
$ sudo docker image build -t sloopstash/alma-linux-9:v1.1.1 -f image/base/1.1.1/alma-linux-9.dockerfile image/base/1.1.1/context

I believe the commands your are providing is to build the image in alma linux for kubernetes cluster .

Im doing the docker session again. While running the commands given during our session is failing in my ubuntu machine.

sudo docker container run -i -t --rm --entrypoint /usr/sbin/nginx -p 80:80 sloopstash/nginx:v1.24.0 -g 'daemon off;'

Please refer the above screenshot and do the needful.

@raagulsukumar please build the base OS images (Amazon Linux 2 and Alma Linux 9) as per Divya's commands, and then build workload images. First try in Docker, once everything is right, we'll push to Docker Hub. You can try in Kubernetes finally.
