Sonic Field Labs is the experimental research and development arm of Sonic Field. We build tools, methods, and concepts for listening with machines.

The Listening Stack

  • AKOÚŌ — protocols and skills for agentic and critical listening.

  • Akousmata — shared memory and navigation for heard things, listening events, and sonic relations.

Other projects

  • Algophony — research on algorithmic generative soundscapes, listening, and algorithmic acoulogy.
  • ORAM — an oracular responsive audio machine for recording, looping, transformation, and performance.

Our work explores re-listening, sonic lineage, digital akousmatics, listening sovereignty, and accountable AI audio systems.

All projects are under active development. Contributions, tests, research collaborations, and critical feedback are welcome.
