claude.ai moved custom connectors to Customize > Connectors and now asks for an authentication mode and an OAuth client. The hosted endpoint only supports automatic client registration, so the steps say to pick Register automatically. Also note the Free plan limit of one custom connector, that mobile apps use connectors added on web or desktop, and the Team/Enterprise owner step.
