Clone the message stack before awaiting a message so the node mutex is released while waiting for incoming messages. Add a Linux-only regression test to verify that the node lock remains available while a message retrieval request is pending.

I'm not fully certain that this doesn't break existing assumptions, but all tests are passing, and it allows POSTing /api/v1/messages while there is an active waiting GET request.
