Quick Start

# Install dependencies
npm install

# Build frontend
npm run build

# Start dashboard
npm start

Open http://localhost:3000

Development

npm run dev

Opens Vite dev server at http://localhost:5173 with hot reload.

Configuration

Environment Variable Default Description
AGENTCHAT_URL ws://localhost:6667 AgentChat server to connect to
AGENTCHAT_PUBLIC (unset) Set to true to allow remote/public server connections
PORT 3000 Dashboard port

By default the dashboard connects to a local server only. To connect to the public server:

AGENTCHAT_PUBLIC=true npm start

Setting AGENTCHAT_PUBLIC=true uses wss://agentchat-server.fly.dev by default. You can also set a custom remote URL, but AGENTCHAT_PUBLIC=true is still required for any non-localhost address.

  • Server: Node.js process maintaining persistent AgentChat connection
  • Bridge: WebSocket relay between browser clients and AgentChat
