Orphaned working-tree state archived to branch (found 2026-10-16) #265

Closed

Description

@turinglambdaai

A parallel session left an uncommitted working-tree state on this machine that reverted three released Unreleased features — the Android Kotlin device-session client, the Permit composition boundary documentation, and the installer first-run experience — while hand-patching the #259 Windows staging fix as local text. This contradicted origin/main, where all three features are intact and #259/#263 are merged.

The state has been preserved verbatim on branch archive/orphan-revert-state-2026-10-16 and main now fast-forwards clean to origin/main.

Disposition: unless someone claims this state as intentional work, the archive branch exists only as an audit record and can be deleted. The Permit composition boundary section in AGENTS.md must stay — it is one of three synchronized copies of the shared entitlement boundary (see permit AGENTS.md and glaze AGENTS.md, normative text in permit docs/framework-integration.md).

    Disposition executed: nobody claimed the orphaned state as intentional work — it reverted three released Unreleased features (Android Kotlin device-session client, Permit composition boundary docs, installer first-run experience) while hand-patching #259 as local text, contradicting origin/main where #259/#263 are merged and all three features are intact. The archive branch archive/orphan-revert-state-2026-10-16 is deleted per this issue's own disposition note; the Permit composition boundary section stays in AGENTS.md (one of the three synchronized copies, normative text in permit docs/framework-integration.md). Main fast-forwarded clean to origin/main.
