Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Yes. When viewing images on X/Twitter desktop, the previous/next navigation arrows are displayed directly on top of the image. This can obscure text or other important content near the edges of screenshots and images.
Describe the solution you'd like
Move the navigation arrows into the black margin surrounding the image so they do not cover the image itself. Another option would be to show the arrows only when hovering near the edge of the viewer.
Describe alternatives you've considered
The arrows could become semi-transparent when the pointer is not near them, automatically hide after a short delay, or be positioned outside the image boundaries.
Additional context
This is most noticeable when viewing images containing text near the left or right edge. The navigation control can cover part of the content and makes the media viewer less comfortable to use on desktop.
